Just out of curiosity. Is there someone involved with ToDo item ï¿½%Allow
pg_hba.conf settings to be controlled via SQLï¿½?

I don't remember any discussions about this recently, so I doubt it is being
actively worked on right now.

pgAdmin with the admin81 functions can handle this...
