This is not something that can be added in for v6.5...it doesn't fix a
bug...sounds like something good for v6.6 though ...

Hi

I am having a problem with MVCC on Postgres 6.5 Beta

No, currently.

Sounds like it would something really useful for 6.5. It would be
really useful in interactive system to detect a unique constraint
being violated. I would be happy to do it if someone could point
me to the relevant areas in the code.

I'll write something in the next week.

I'm writing an article on PostgreSQL right now touting MVCC, and it sure
would be nice to have docs available. I'm over deadline and almost done,
so it's probably too late at this point, but it would still be good to
have docs available, since I hope with my article to send interested
people to the web page looking for more info.
