Bruce saved my behind by quickly offering a patch. (Thanks!)

This was really great, the only problem is that I know several
large features are scheduled for 7.1 that may for brief periods of
time have postgresql acting unstable during the development cycle.

Unfortunatly I may have to cvsup to fix some issue that happens
with 7.0 but I don't want to play/risk the new features, just get
the bugfixes.

I would really like to see a 7.0 Branch, akin to the 6.5.3-patches
branch which would give users the option to only cvsup bugfixes
rather than code that incorperates emerging new features which may
upset stability.

This will happen at the same time as v7.0.1 is released ... up until then,
there will be no new features added to the source tree ... our sort of
'quiet time' to see how things work out, watch for bugs, etc ...

On a somewhat related note, is there a way to have the postgresql
cvs commit messages mailed to me? I can't seem to find a list.
