InitDB Failure - PostgreSQL 7.2, RedHat 7.3, compile from source

Hi,

Sorry to ask this question straight out but I wasn't sure where else to get an answer!

Due to the 32 character limit on column/table names, we needed to recompile PostgreSQL from the source with updated settings. It compiles fine, but on running initdb, we get the following output:

Can anyone shed some light on this just by looking at it? Two of us have wasted basically an entire day getting to this point and would appreciate any assistance. We may end up having to settle with 64 characters and install the latest RC :-) However ideally we'd like to be able to go beyond 64.
