Hi,

I'm new to PostgreSQL and I'd like to know what are the replication
methods available on PostgreSQL and what version of PostgreSQL should I
install for it.
Thank you very much.

Start by answering what you mean by "replication". I would have a look at
the section on high availability in the manual to understand the various
kinds of things you might want to do.

The answer to the second part is "the most recent possible." You might
even want to wait until 8.3 is out (very soon now), as a few of the
replication solutions take advantage of some new features in 8.3. A quick
overview of what's available can be found here:

http://developer.postgresql.org/index.php/Replication

Feel free to ask more questions, bearing in mind that "replication" is
a fairly generic term with no one-size-fits-all solution.
