8.4 RPMs

8.4 wasn't released yet,and as such - won't be available as RPMs.
You should rather try to compile it from scratch yourself. Remember also,
that between updates of cvs version of postgres, you have to do dump and
restore ALWAYS.

Have a look under the following URL:

You should be able to download the latest 8.4 Devel version in rpm format.

Have a look at http://yum.pgsqlrpms.org/rpmchart.php. I think you can
get them directly that way.

Please note that these are _not_ for production use, and almost
certainly have bugs. They may not be the very latest, either.

I prepared packages for RHEL/CentOS 5 and Fedora 9. If you are not using
these distros, you won't find the packages.
