Yes, my complaint was that the e-mail did not show as from me.
Oh, and just as an fyi, it does show as 'from you', if you look at the

not really, its just a test that fails if there is no domain as part of
the address ... the problem is that I can disable it in majordomo2, *but*
when disabled, it doesn't do *any* domain checking, so I want to fix it in
sendmail instead ...

Are you sure you're not getting hosed because the location of
virtualusertable has moved from /etc to /etc/mail?
Have you regenerated it?

I've never actually used it ... unless you mean:
Kvirtuser hash /etc/mail/virtual_domains
Its still in the same place that my sendmail.cf file references, and I've
never had to set anything in it before for -committers to work *raised
eyebrow*
