The core committee has agreed that we need to put out security releases
to deal with the LOAD vulnerability described here:
http://archives.postgresql.org/pgsql-bugs/2005-01/msg00269.php
Accordingly we'll be releasing 8.0.1, 7.4.7, 7.3.9, 7.2.7.
Current thought is to wrap these on Thursday for release Friday.
If you have any last-minute fixes for the back branches, now's the
time to get them in.

What timezone is that? Meaning at what time GMT (approx) can we expect
the .tar.gz to show up?

Also, consider that wwwmaster is down ATM, so the mirror selection stuff
does not work. We're recommending everybody to go the UK mirrors ATM
(because that's what was served up as static pages). Hopefully that'll
be fixed by thursday, though.

If you have any last-minute fixes for the back branches, now's the

None from me other than those already sent:
*) I'd really like to see the NT4 patch go in (SHGetFolderPath). I
beleive it's safe.
*) The stack size patch

Uh, we didn't set an exact time, but I was imagining Thursday
afternoon/evening north-american-east-coast time. So maybe (very roughly)
midnight GMT.

I'm assuming the pgsql-www crowd will have some solution in place by
Friday.

Right, they're on my to-do list. The stack size patch is just waiting
for someone to tell me whether it applies to Cygwin builds or not.

I generally try to do them around 8pm ADT (00:00 GMT) ...

Sorry for the last minute commit, but I realized that I forgot to
backpatch the cursor buffer overrun fix to 7.3 and 7.2. I've done that
now, and I've got nothing else I wanted to get into any of these
releases.
