regress[ion].* files?

By the way, what are all the regress.* and regression.* files in the
snapshot test/regress directory?

Should they really be there? Are they in the CVS tree?

Yes, and yes...they are "expected" results for the various
operating system due to slight variations i the operating system
themselves...
