Any reason you didn't backpatch this to the other releases? AFAICT
they have the same problem?

It's not really a bug fix, just a cosmetic improvement (if that).

Well, you did backpatch it to 9.2, that's why I asked. It seemed
simple enough to backpatch further and makes things clearer.. But it's
not all that important, i guess.
