svedish trans
Here is another update of the swedish translation. I sent one a couple of
months ago but it never was commited (and therefor not tested by anybody
but me).

Dear Jan,
Yes, I will do it.
Great. We are very thankfull for your help to translate into Czech.
Maybe you should register pgadmin-hackers@postgresql.org mailing list from
http://www.pgadmin.org/pgadmin2.php?ContentID=4? This is where translations
are coordinated. I CC my answer to the list for information.
You will also need to checkout pgAdmin3 from CVS to get pgadmin3.pot file
updates.
1. Is there any deadline for translation?
No, pgAdmin is free software, there are no deadlines. Just do your best.
2. Do you recommend for translation of database terms any terminologie?
(Oracle, IBM, MS, Sybase ...). I will not translate db terms myself (like
trigger etc.), but I will use terms, which are in use.
Personnaly, I keep many db terms untranslated in French because users may be
confused. We wrote some guidelines about it, but they still need approvement
of other translators.
3. Do I have to use UTF-8 or iso-8859-2 codepage for translation?
We try to use UTF-8 when possible.
Do not hesitate to get back to us on pgadmin-hackers@postgresql.org for any
question.
Cheers,
Jean-Michel

Hello Jean-Michel,
Your proposal sounds like fun. I can also derive fr_CA
version of it if needed ;)
Thank you for considering me doing pgAdmin3 Russian
translation.

Dear Serguei,
We are wondering if you would like to contribe a translation into Russian of
pgAdmin3 (http://www.pgadmin.org/snapshots), PostgreSQL GUI developped under
wxWindows for GNU/Linux, Win32 and other Unix systems.
If you are interested, please find enclosed some documentation and guidelines.
If you are busy now and would like to register for a future translation, just
email me back and I will add your name to the ongoing translation work.
Cheers,
Jean-Michel POURE

Welcome Russia! Thank you very much for contributing your time and work. Do
not hesitate to get back to us on the list for any question.

I would say "no" currently due to my busy summer, but thinking on it more,
I'll probably have the oppurtunity to translate pgAdmin3 until the end of
July. I'll write an article about i18n in a Hungarian Linux Gazette soon
and I'll show the method of it on pgAdmin3. I saw some screenshots and it
looks very nice, congratulations! :-)
Dear Zoltan,
"Viva Hungary !". Thank you very much for your proposal. Take your time if you
are busy. I am adding you to the list of translators. Is your name Zoltan
Kovzol, are there any accents?
Thank you too to promote pgAdmin3 via screenshots in your i18n articles. Do
not hesitate to send us a PDF of your article when ready, we would love to
reproduce part of it on pgAdmin3 web site.
Cheers,
Jean-Michel

pgAdmin3.
Dear Ervin,
Thank you very much for your kind proposal to translate into Indonesia. We are
really interested in reaching new users in Indonesia. This is very important
for PostgreSQL and pgAdmin3.
We wrote a detailed guide called translatation steps:
http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/pgadmin3/docs/en_US/translation_steps.html
It is quite important to follow the translation guidelines explained here:
http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/pgadmin3/docs/en_US/translation_guidelines.html
Today, I will add you to the translator team:
http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/pgadmin3/docs/en_US/translation_team.html
Also, you will need to install pgAdmin3 binaries snapshots (preferably)
updated daily or source code:
http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/pgadmin3/docs/en_US/snapshots.html
http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/pgadmin3/docs/en_US/unix_compilation.html
For any question or help, do not hesitate to get back to me. You will need to
register pgAdmin hacker mailing list as explained in translation_steps.html.
I also received an email from Boy Washington
<boy.washington@conocophillips.com> who whishes to help.
Maybe you could get in contact with him and work as translator /
proof-reader.
Cheers,
Jean-Michel POURE

I'll try to fint the time to do it. When approximately i pgAdmin3 scheduled
for release?
Dear Brage,
Welcome Norway. Thank you very much for joining the team.
pgAdmin3 is scheduled for release in July. I am not in the shoes of Dave Page
and Andreas Pflug, therefore I cannot be sure it will be the case. For
various reasons, we expect pgAdmin3 to be ready soon.
As for translations, as we build and release binary snapshots everyday, there
is no hurry. Try to make a good translation and submit it to us when done.
Some documents about the translation:
http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/pgadmin3/docs/en_US/translation_steps.html
http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/pgadmin3/docs/en_US/translation_guidelines.html

http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/pgadmin3/docs/en_US/unix_compilation.html
Do not hesitate to come back to us for any question.
