Last minute reminders (hope they're not too late...)

Just a couple of last minute reminders...

1. Make sure the latest machine-specific FAQs are included in the release

Most recent versions already installed.

2. Make sure the patch is applied to the configure script to get it to
work for non-gcc compilers correctly (Sorry I haven't had time to try
to fix autoconf itself.).
