Postgresql 8.1.8 Initdb not started

Hello,

I recently installed fresh version of Freebsd 6.2 on my machine then I
installed postgresql 8.1.8 server + client . When time comes to
initdb : /usr/local/etc/rc.d/postgresql initdb

I cannot start it and no message appeared.
/usr/local/pgsql & /usr/local/pgsql/data weren`t created.

I tried to deinstall and reinstall but same results.

How can I fix it ?
