The following bug has been logged online:

Bug reference: 5213
Logged by: savita
Email address: savita.halli@gmail.com
PostgreSQL version: 8.3.5
Operating system: AIX
Description: copy command gives error
Details:

Hi

I have a file which has data of a table. Now I want to copy this data into
postgres database.

When I am running the script which has copy command, it gives me error for
5th row. I compared the data for 4th and 5th row and looks similar.

I would like to know id there anyway I can get exact sql queries those are
running in postgres database. If so please give me the exact steps.

Thanks
Savita

Hi, Savita --

this is most probably not a bug in PostgreSQL, so it doesn't make sense
to file a bug here.

I think you will get more help posting this to the general help list,
<pgsql-novice@postgresql.org>. That said...

The database seems to disagree ;-)

I think I don't understand what you are trying to say here: the command
to the database is surely "COPY", right? And if something goes wrong,
you will surely see an error message as a reaction to it?
