Can someone give this person assistance in getting started with the
docs?

I'll say it again, guys: give me some pointers to what to do and I'll
happily put some time in on the docs. I don't know lots of PostgreSQL
internals stuff, but I know C and some DocBook and I have been known
to write manpages, so I must know nroff too. Obviously I can't learn
large amounts about particular subsystems in time for 7.0 but I can do
things like adding a section to a manpage to describe a new option. I
don't really want just to pick something from Bruce's posted list and
go at it because I might happen to pick something either that someone
else was already doing or that was non-obviously difficult or
complicated. So I'd like some direction from you guys, or whoever [1].
Is there a structure to the documentation people even theoretically? Is
one of you or someone else the Documentation Coordinator, with or without
the capitalisation? I can't find any information about this.

Anyway, if you think my potential usefulness at this point outweighs the
time spent allocating something to me and checking it afterwards, let
me know. If it doesn't, fair enough.

Richard

[1] As I'm claiming to be able to write, I'll point out that I know that
this should strictly be "whomever".
