Beta4 ...
Unless I hear any out-cries against it, I'm going to wrap up beta4 first
thing Tuesday morning, for an announce on Tuesday evening ... is anyone
sitting on anything that they want me to wait a day or two for this?

It's already Tuesday nite, are you giving a one week warning or did
your calender get smudged? :)

Ok, tell ya what. You can have both at the end of next
week. In the mean time, did you already roll this one?

Just did it
Beta 4 no longer installs outside the final destination (used for
packaging). The python parts tries to install into /usr/lib/python1.5,
and no longer into DESTDIR/usr/lib/python1.5
Beta 3 built fine, no other changes were made.

I have reverted the last change to the python-related makefile.
Apparently, D'Arcy checked in a feature-changing patch during beta despite
explicit objections.
