FoxPro Fronted/Performance

Is ODBC the only way to connect FoxPro to a Linux/Postgres database?

Does anyone have a working environment with
FoxPro and Postgres they would care to share about?

It works with FoxPro but seems like a lot of coding to get it to work...

I am a little concerned to with how the performance will be using ODBC.
