I'm out of here. This list has too much traffic. Too bad it's not on usenet.

In Oracle, there is a method bywhich tables can be loaded into memory as a
method of speeding up queries. Is there anyway this can be done in
Postgres?

Does anyone know a good site outlining general methods of database
optimisation?

Thanks,

Additionally, you could get the digest for the day which would condense
everything into only a handful of emails. I'm not sure how to change your
settings once you subscribe to the regular list however.

Um, gee, isn't that what a list like this is _supposed_ to have-- a lot
of traffic? It's a _help_ list, after all. You think there's a lot of
traffic here, you should try one of the Linux distro lists. Whew!

Re: Too much traffic

There is a lot, but they also offer the list in digest form. I couldn't
bear it in any other form.

send "help" command to majordomo: pgsql-general-request@postgresql.org
