After almost six hours of restoring the db from backup, I found the
following message:
mm: critical shortage of bounce buffers.
Can anyone please tell me what parameters need adjustment?

This sounds more like an OS error than a Postgres error. Are you sure
it's coming from Postgres?

Re: Another error message

I must admit I don't.
RH7.1 (kernel 2.4.3), PG 7.1.3
I'll try the linux newsgroups.

Re: Another error message

That is definatly a message from theh linux kernel. I seem to remember that
there was a bug in one of teh 2.4.X kernel that caused that, you could try
looking in the LKM Mailing list for an awnser, but my guess woudl be
updating your Kernel to the new Redhat Kernel's will fix it.

LKM Archive are avaliable at
http://www.uwsg.indiana.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/index.html
