Try

$ which ant

to see where ant is installed.

I usually install it in /usr/local/ant, and ensure /usr/local/ant/bin is
in my PATH. In addition I set another env variable JAVA_HOME to be where
my JDK is

That seems to work ok

best wishes

Mark

Re: Compiling problems

Hi

$ which ant

Well apparingly it isn't installed at all. The issued command didn't
return anything.

Does anyone happen to know where I can find ant for SuSE?

Thx

You probably just need to add /opt/jakarta/ant (or wherever the binary
ended up) to your PATH.
