cannot login into postgresql server

Set up postgresql and I have been unable to login using pgAdmin, pgExplorer,
or jdbc. Is there a way I can reset the username and password. Any
suggestion will be appreciated

What exactly is the error message displayed? Are you trying to connect remotely or locally? If you're connecting remotely, you
probably haven't configured your pg_hba.conf correctly. .
