hello,

Maybe you've had a similar problem with pgaccess:
it outputs error:
---------------------------------------
Error trying to connect to database
'friends' on host localhost

PostgreSQL error
message: Connection to database failed
could not connect to server:
Connectuion refused
Is the server running on host localhost and
accepting TCP/IP connections on port
5432?
--------------------------------------

while i can access the database from xterm
window and via php without problems.

my pg_hba.conf is default.
PostgreSQL 7.2.1

thank you in advance for the help.

ktt

So, is it?

I don't know what PHP does by default but if you don't give a hostname to
pgaccess it will use the unix domain socket, which bypasses your reported
problem.
