PostgreSQL.org : A new website design offer

We'd really like to get some feedback about it, as we feel we're getting
near to a finalised design.

Specifically :

- Does it look alright in the browsers you use?

Using Mozilla latest 1.1 Alpha looks nice everything rendering a ok

- Do you feel it has a decent layout, with a proper
usage of space? Not too crowded, not too much
empty space, etc.

Layout i thought was ok but i still have reservations about the 10 select
boxes that are sitting on the right hand side
I think one select and three radio buttons would look better ( only my
opinion though :))

- Does it easily guide you to where you want to go?
- Is the overall look professional, in your opinion?
- Does it lack anything important?

and

- Any other suggestions which you feel are appropriate.

ok i use opera and it looks fine.

not satisfied with this...i think things are too small..
specifically the download and suport links...
i think they need to be given more prominence.

ok...except what i hv said above.

docs/manual link?

- Any other suggestions which you feel are appropriate.

a bigger font size at some places would be better.

I also don't like the collection of drop-downs. While I kindof like the idea
of the radio group to select a country site I think that the users not
having to do anything to select the country would be much better. Can't the
URL's just be relative to the index page so that whenever a user clicks on
them they just go to the same locale?

Also, in the United States at least the general design has the primary
navigation links on the left side of the page, the center to be the major
article headers with summaries and the right side to be minor article
headers. The links on the right side of the page should really be on the
left side.

You have put in a lot of work and it looks very good.
I would like to see it be more of an advocacy site than what it has been, a
developers site.
I thinks that there should be more links to tutorials, case studies, Howtos,
and getting started style articles. The News is great. I was thinking more
along the lines of java.sun.com. The front page being for people that are
new then a "Developers Connection" for people that are already using
PostgresSql.
