Error connecting to Postgres database.

Hi,

We have a Postgres database running on Hp Unix 11.0 . The connectivity from
Pgadmin / Pgaccess to the database fails
with an error " Number: -2147467259, Description: Could not connect to the
server; Could not connect to remote socket ".

The port 5432 is open and listening for connections. We tried to different
things and nothing worked. Please advice.
