Some days ago I sent this to pgsql-general-owner@postgresql.org,
but received no reply. Let's see if it's noticed here.

Thanks.

--------
I can't seem to post to the list from my primary address.
At first they showed up after 4-5 days, but now they just
get lost.

My primary address is fernando@mecon.gov.ar

Is there something that can be done?

Thanks!

Re: Posts get losts

Are you using sendmail to send your e-mails from a network other then
mecon.gov.ar? It's possible your e-mails could be getting refused
because the listserv thinks they're spam. Then again, anybody want to
help me launder Nigerian drug money? j/k

I believe the "From:" header has to match your entry in the subscription
list for the list 'bot to think that it should let your posts through.
Otherwise they get diverted to Marc's moderator queue.

If you're posting from an address other than what you're subscribed
under, fix that. (If you really want the addresses to be different,
I think you can subscribe your source address but set it to "nomail"
option. See the help messages available from the majordomo 'bot.)

The TIP attached to this message is curiously relevant:

TIP 3: if posting/reading through Usenet, please send an appropriate
subscribe-nomail command to majordomo@postgresql.org so that your
message can get through to the mailing list cleanly

My From does match my subscription. From your post:

Received: from relay2.pgsql.com (relay2.pgsql.com [64.49.215.143])
by relay1.mecon.ar (8.12.6/8.12.6) with ESMTP id h2LGVWIf002812
for <fernando@mecon.gov.ar>; Fri, 21 Mar 2003 13:31:32 -0300 (ART)
(envelope-from pgsql-general-owner+M39528=fernando=mecon.gov.ar@postgresql.org)

So this means my subscribed address is fernando@mecon.gov.ar.

I recall a message from someone else a few weeks ago with kind of the same
problem. He timestamped his email and wondered when would he be receiving
it back?

Regards.

Fernando.

I would unsubscribe, then resubscribe.

TIP 2: you can get off all lists at once with the unregister command
(send "unregister YourEmailAddressHere" to majordomo@postgresql.org)

Indeed. And your From: line says

From: Fernando Schapachnik <fpscha@cvi.com.ar>

which doesn't look like the same address to me, and certainly won't be
considered the same by majordomo ...

This is an alternative address (from somewhere else) I'm using to
bring this issue up. The problem is with my work address.

(Yes, I could keep using this, but appart from the annoyance it
doesn't help to fix the underlying problem or undocumented
condition that might be affecting others or be a random problem.)

Regards.

Fernando.
