some good news
Thought that a wee bit of good news would be a change...
Today I produced my first set of mailing labels in OpenOffice.org
connected to PostgreSQL datbase.
So what! No big deal?
Well everything was running on Mac OS X 10.2.4! PostgreSQL 7.3.x server
and weekly build of OOo final beta with Apple JDK 1.4 support.
Macs in a business context are looking like a serious option once again.
Cheers

What would be even better is if all those apps came preinstlled and working on
Macs, and then the primary owner of Apple, bill gates, might begin to sweat a
little, which would be good for him.
Cause, the mac is a superior hardware platform, and maybe it would begin selling
again, and then there'd be less demand for Microslop software.

I know I'm slow, but where's the punch line?
