Hi Folks!

I don�t know whether it would be possible or not, but wouldn�t it be
time to update the license text to the text of the current BSD
license template? Or at least to replace "University of California"
with "The PostgreSQL Global Development Group" ?

Oh ghod, not *that* discussion again...

Read the archives (IIRC, the last really major go-round was in mid-2000,
but there were repeated flamewars before that). The general consensus
is that this is a can of worms we don't want to open.

No. Fortunately we agreed to try not to change the license again before
the "final" release of PostgreSQL. This _might_ take a while, but has
the tremendeous benefit of reducing the license changes to one.
