Hi,

We just experienced this bug:

http://tinyurl.com/28gkh

on 7.4.1 (freebsd and os x). Is there any chance this is on the list
for 7.5?

I don't think it is fixed in 7.5, sorry.

But he can use the new ALTER TABLE feature for changing the datatype and
he won't have the dropped column in the first place.

Maybe there's lots of data loss but the records of data loss are also lost.

That's assuming his code will work after the new altery column type
operation. I am not sure about that.
